Plitvice Lakes from Zadar with a guided walk and electric boat on Kozjak Lake. Terraced lakes, waterfalls, and top-notch guides.

“Amazing tour. As a solo traveler I booked the tour for comfort and I’m very glad I did. The check points were very clear and easy to find but we had enough freedom to explore at our own pace also, which was lovely. My guide (Nike) set up a group chat for ease of communication which was a great idea for the group and showed care for customers. She was very approachable and full of knowledge about Croatia and especially the nationals Holliday to commemorate the war and attack on Croatia in the 1990’s. Overall a great tour , highly recommend of your in Croatia!”

“Everything was perfect. Transportation was great. The Krka park is amazing, with very beautiful views and it’s very easy to walk around (the guide also gave us a map and recommendations how to get around in the park). We also went to the little town Skradin, which was worth a visit. The town is very beautiful and if you need a refreshment, definitely go for a swim at the Krka river, it was very clean and really nice. The guide (Stipe) was also amazing. He was very funny, while still giving us all the important and necessary information. He communicated everything through a whatsapp group (meeeting point/time, etc) but he…”

Full-day catamaran trip from Zadar to Dugi Otok for Saharun Beach, with sea views, swimming time, and a simple ride back.

“We spent an amazing day at the beach! The water was unbelievable! The boat trip helped set the day right, offering amazing views of the islands and the staff was really friendly and fun, they even turned the music at a high volume which made the people dance - really nice atmosphere! They do inform you on the boat that there is seaweed in the water and due to its properties it is protected by law, therefore it cannot be cleaned. And anyway, it’s not the gross type of green seaweed, it’s mostly dry and once further in the water it’s not anymore - only a bit at the shore…”

14.Plitvice Lakes Guided Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 150 reviews · 3 to 6 hours (approx.) · from $41

Small-group Plitvice guided tour with skip-the-line entry, boat-and-train route, and big waterfall views from Lower to Upper Lakes.

“The guide Leo was there on time and we started off well. But after the first waterfall, there wasn't much that he told us about. It became more of a follow the leader, where we rushed to keep up with him. In hindsight, we could have done a better job by covering the park on our own at our own pace. It felt rushed and there wasn't any information shared over the bare-minimum. Even on asking, we got brief answers. I would not recommend this tour.”

15.River Zrmanja Guided Kayak Safari & Waterfalls

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 132 reviews · from $76

Half-day guided kayak safari on Croatia’s Zrmanja River with crystal-clear swims and a 10 m waterfall bypass near Velebit.

“When we got to the meeting place, we met 3 young guides who explained everything. If you're not good with English, there's a lady who speaks Italian. The location is beautiful, but the 10 km can be a bit tiring for first-timers (like us). They'll wait for you if you fall behind. Overall, it was a great experience. Bring a beach towel, food, and drinks, and they'll be well kept in insulated boxes.”
